Jannet! I remember one of my camp counselors… Mary Lou Quackenbush? I might have that name wrong… I was 11 years old and we were at 4-H camp up in North Jersey!

I’m glad I found this blog. I’ve been going to the Keyport Fishery since I was knee high to a grasshopper, 50 now. My parents used to take me and my brother fishing in Raritan Bay and we used to dock the boat at the boat ramp ( before the post office was built ) walk across the street and get lunch. We used to go back on the water and fish with a bag of either shrimp sandwiches, shrimp and scallop platters or fishcake platters. The best fishcakes I’ve ever tasted. Now that I’m an adult I’ve been going back there with my friends, and my kids go there now too. I miss all the old employees but the new owners are very nice too. Goin there with friends next week.

Hey fans!
Keyport Fishery is the best seafood place around. I live in seafood alley (Highlands) and still will travel the 25 minutes to experience the same guilty pleasure every time. I was wondering, though, does anyone have a clue to the ingredients in Keyport Fisheries tartar sauce? It’s to die for and I’d love to be able to whip it up at home once in a while. thanx millions for a response.

Hi Pat, i was involved with 4-H as a matter of fact. I think i went to Camp 2 summers. We lived in Toms River at the time. I went with my best friend Teri Bruzzone.
